April 10th - 13th, National Radiological Emergency Preparedness Conference, the mission of the annual conference is to provide a professional forum for individuals involved with the Radiological Emergency Preparedness programs to gather in the spirit of continuous self improvement and to share program experiences, develop solutions to common challenges, and create innovative planning, exercising and training methodologies. The 2017 conference is being held in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel at 187 Monroe Avenue NW.

May 1st - 5th, The New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Conference is designed to meet the needs of New Jersey’s Emergency Managers and our private partners in the emergency management community. Our commitment is to present timely and informative, up-to-date preparedness information and training to better prepare Emergency Managers and ultimately the public we serve.  The 2017 conference is being held at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, NJ.

 

May 8th - 11th, Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors  The 48th Annual National Conference on Radiation Control will take place this year at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona.  This years theme is Expanding the Scope of Partnerships in Radiation Protection and Security.

 

May 9th - 10th, 2017 Great Lakes Homeland Security Training Conference  Bringing together over 1,200 stakeholders for training, demonstrations, and networking relevant to existing homeland security issues and initiatives. Participants include emergency management, law enforcement, fire, public health, health care, schools, private sector, and all levels of government (local, state, federal, tribal) from Michigan and surrounding states. This years conference is being held at DeVos Place Convention Center, 303 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI.

 

May 16th - 19th, 2017 Texas Emergency Management Conference  Save the date because each year we host presentations on the latest, greatest topics and training in emergency management. Also continuing to offer several family oriented workshops, as in 2016. This years conference is being held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.

June 14th - 17th, ISRI Gulf Coast Chapter 2017 Summer Convention and Exposition The Gulf Coast Chapter helps to connect recyclers, consumers and equipment and service providers in the area with local news and with periodic meetings and events designed to strengthen business locally.   This years conference is being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine, TX.

February 21st - 23rd 2017 NYSEMA Winter Conference provides a forum to discuss current trends and topics, share information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security, and advance the work of NYSEMA. Conference sessions encourage stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, and related professions to exchange ideas and collaborate to protect lives and property from disaster.

 

February 28th - March 1, 2nd,  DNDO Industry and User Day 2017 at the Johns Hopkins University- Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU-APL) conference center in Laurel, MD. This two-day event will include extensive discussions with government, industry, academia, and operational users. Multiple operational users from CBP, TSA, USCG, State and Locals, DOE, and DOD are being invited to participate in the event. The conference will include plenary sessions, working groups, and an exhibit area.

January 22nd - 25th Health Physics Society Midyear Meeting The 50th Midyear Meeting will be held in the thriving urban district of Bethesda, Maryland. Bethesda is also the home of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (U.S.NRC), Bethesda Naval Hospital (Bethesda Naval Medical Center) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The midyear will not be a topical meeting so we are strongly soliciting the full spectrum of radiation protection specialties. the meeting is being held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 5701 Marinelli Rd, North Bethesda, MD 20852.

November 1st  - 2nd Emergency Preparedness & Hazmat Response Conference The nation’s premier all-hazards conference for emergency management, public safety and industry with quality education, training and networking sponsored by Pennsylvania Region 13 Task Force in partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Infrastructure Protection. This year’s conference is being held at the Sheraton Station Square, 300 W. Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, PA.

 

 

November 4th - 5th Ohio Hazardous Materials Teams Conference The conference is designed to encourage networking, allow ample time to visit hazmat vendors and see the latest in tools, equipment and technologies. Nationally known speakers will present best practices for instrumentation, specific chemical response and current events. The 2016 conference is being held at the Solon Community Center, 35000 Portz Pkwy, Solon, Ohio 44139.

October 21st  - 22nd HOTZONE 2016 The goal of the conference is to train and equip local, state and federal responders for safe, coordinated and efficient response to releases of hazardous materials which threaten public health and the environment. This years conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near NRG – Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

 

 

October 26th,  Northern Ohio and Pittsburgh Chapters Vendor Expo and Seminar This event gives you the opportunity to see many of the vendors who support our industry and discover what's new. September 7th  - 8th,  Continuing Challenge  Each year, the first week of September, we bring together the most prominent and skilled presenters who volunteer to provide our students with the most recent information available to enhance or grow skills critical to ensure a safe and effective response. Our mission is to provide safe response training for all emergency responders to hazardous materials incidents affecting public health and the environment. September 16th,  IAHSS New Jersey - Delaware River Chapter Meeting The next Chapter meeting will be held on September 16th at 1pm at 106 Carnie Blvd. Voorhees NJ. Topics will be medical cannabis and metal detectors. Laurus Systems anticipates making a technical presentation of the latest advancements and technology available in metal detection.

 

 

September 20th  - 22nd,  Maritime Security 2016 West is the fourth installment of the Maritime Security West program series and is the sixteenth maritime security conference hosted by Homeland Security Outlook since 2011. Maritime Security 2016 West furthers a commitment to address the needs of governments, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure to counter the challenges of securing coastlines, inland waterways, and their critical infrastructure. August 25th - 28th,  Pennsylvania Association of Hazardous Materials Technicians 2016 Hazmat Conference, four days of quality eduction and training by national experts for county/city/industrial hazmat teams and personnel and EMS, fire, law enforcement and emergency management staff. This years conference is being held at The Valley Forge Radisson, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA.

 

August 2nd - 4th,  Annual CBRN Defense Conference The purpose of The NDIA Annual CBRN Defense Conference and Exhibition being held at Aberdeen Proving Ground - Edgewood Area, MD, is to promote the positive exchange of information (scientific, technical and operational) relating to the subject of defense against Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and the ever growing CBRN threat around the world and in our homeland. This conference will provide both government and industry the opportunity to understand and better support current and future CBRN joint program requirements and to identify potential business opportunities associated with each of them.

April 1st and 2nd,  The State of Delaware will be hosting the 9th Annual Hazardous Materials Training Workshop April 1-2, 2016 at the Delaware State Fire School in Dover Delaware. This free training workshop is is open to all Fire Service, EMS, Law Enforcement and First Responders from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The workshop will provide comprehensive training sessions and unique hand-on training opportunities presented by outstanding industry leaders.

 

April 2nd-7th,  The ISRI 2016 Convention and Exposition will be held this year at the Mandalay Bay Resort, 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119. The 2016 ISRI (Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc.) Convention and Exposition will offer extensive commodity and job-focused programming.

March 3rd & 4th, North Carolina Chapter of the Health Physics Society (NCHPS) will be holding their Spring 2016 meeting at the Courtyard Marriott 100 Charlotte Ave, Carolina Beach, NC 28428.  The NCHPS is a professional organization dedicated to the development, dissemination and application of the scientific knowledge of and practical means for radiation protection.

 

March 21st - 23rd, Maritime Security 2016 East is the fourth installment of the Maritime Security East program series and is being held at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, 235 E Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510. February 23rd - 25th, The NYSEMA Annual Conference provides a forum to discuss current trends and topics, share information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security, and advance the work of New York State Emergency Management Association. The 2016 Winter Conference will be held at the Embassy Suites at 6646 Collamer Road in East  in Syracuse, NY.

January 31st - February 3rd 2016,  The 49th Health Physics Society Midyear Meeting will be held at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin, TX; a city known for its live music, restaurant scene and arts culture. As always, we expect to have excellent technical presentations and we will not be limiting the topics but instead soliciting presentations related to the full spectrum of radiation protection specialties.  Radiation protection technologists, health physicists and all radiation professionals are encouraged to present at or attend this meeting.
