Hand-Held Instruments

Inspector

The Inspector is a small, handheld microprocessor-based instrument which offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays. The digital readout is displayed with a red count light and a beeper sounds with each count detected. Other features include an adjustable timer and external calibration controls.

Inspector EXP

The Inspector EXP was designed for the requirements of emergency response personnel. It has the same valuable features, small size, and quality of the Inspector, but instead of the built-in detector, it has the added versatility of an external probe.

Monitor 4 & 4EC

The MONITOR 4 and MONITOR 4EC are compact, general purpose survey meters capable of detecting alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays over 3 selectable ranges. A red count light flashes and a beep sounds with each event detected. The Monitor 4EC offers a more accurate linear reading for gamma and x-rays (above 40 keV).

Digilert 100

The Digilert 100 measures alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays. Its digital display shows readings in your choice of counts per minute (CPM) or mR/hr, or in accumulated counts. A red LED flashes and beeper sounds with each count detected. An audible alert sounds when the radiation reaches a user set alert level.

RAP Probes

AP47, RAP200, and RAP640 Scintillation Probes

The CsI (Tl) crystal used in Radiation Alert® Probes has a higher atomic number, is more rugged, and less hygroscopic than a typical Nal detector. The improved gamma ray absorption allows a thinner crystal to be used, effectively reducing the background count rate. (For use with Gateman only).

  • RAP47: Optimized for high sensitivity to low energy gamma radiation. It is ideal for the 47 keV, the typical energy of lead 210 and 35 keV, the typical energy of Iodine-125.

  • RAP200: Optimized for 185 keV, the typical energy of U-235.

  • NEW RAP640: Optimized for high energy gamma.

CDV-700RP-

Replacement Probe

The CDV-700RP probe is specifically designed to have greater sensitivity and easily replace the existing beta/gamma probe on the CDV-700 survey meter. No modification is required! The grip on the probe is adjustable to allow for the perfect fit to Victoreen or Lionel meters. Just unplug the existing probe and plug in the CDV-700RP. (For use with CDV-700 meters only).

Dosimeters

Sentry

The Radiation Alert® Sentry Personal Alarming Dosimeter and Rate Meter is designed to ensure the personal safety of personnel that work in occupations with potential x-ray or gamma exposure. The pocket sized unit has built in memory for recording data points for the purpose of tracking exposure. The Sentry Software option enables you to generate incident reconstruction for analysis. The software also enables you to easily set the vibrating and audio alert to your desired levels for dose and dose rate. Use the audio switch to choose between an audible click with every count taken, or a discreet silent mode that can be augmented with the use of headphones.

Multi Channel Analyzer

URSA-II™

The Universal Radiation Spectrum Analyzer (URSA-II) has everything you would expect in a full-featured MCA program and can be used with practically any radiation detector; NaI (TI), ZnS, gas proportional, plastic scintillation, neutron, CdZnTe (URSA-SC only), even GM. There's no need to buy a special detector! Just use the ones you already own. URSA will extract any data your detector can supply!
