LAURUS Systems Technology Partner

Located in Oak Ridge Tennessee USA, Spectrum Techniques is the premier supplier of Exempt Quantity radioisotope sources and nuclear counting equipment. Applications include teaching modern physics, chemistry and biology, health physics training, radiation protection technology, nuclear medicine and research.

Sources/Shields

Sealed radioactive sources are available in a wide range of isotopes covering Alpha, Beta and Gamma emissions. These sources are exempt from USNRC and State licensing and present no special storage or disposal requirements.  Sources are available sealed in one inch diameter plastic discs, in a variety of test tube sizes, or as needle sources for use with cloud chambers. Custom activities and packaging are available on special order.  Gamma source may be ordered calibrated for an additional fee

ST450

The ST450 Scintillation Single Channel Analyzer (SCA) provides a convenient interface between a scintillation detector and counter/timer for detecting gamma rays over a defined energy range. Front panel controls allow selection of an energy window so that only gamma-rays within a specific energy range are counted.
