Port Security Grant Program & Suggested Equipment

The Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) plays an important role in the implementation of the National Preparedness System by supporting the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities essential to achieving the National Preparedness Goal (the Goal) of a secure and resilient Nation. Building core capabilities requires the combined effort of the whole community, rather than the exclusive effort of any single organization or level of government. The PSGP’s allowable costs support efforts to build and sustain core capabilities across the Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery mission areas.

Consistent with previous grant guidance, dedicated funding is provided for law enforcement and terrorism prevention activities throughout the country to prepare for, prevent, and respond to crimes and other precursors or indicators of terrorist activity. LAURUS Systems is a long time provider of radiation detection equipment, training and services to all grant funding shareholders. As a Woman Owned Small Business concern, we continue to support this effort by being a single source GSA contractor for virtually any of the applicable radiation detection and monitoring equipment, instrument and systems.
