Rados RDS-30 Handheld Radiation Survey Meter

The RDS30 is a digital handheld radiation dose date meter designed for any number of applications involving the possibility of  higher than expected or abnormal radiation levels.   It is compact, lightweight and extremely user friendly.  It is perfectly suited for radiation surveys in field conditions, the nuclear industry and for protection against radiological hazards by by any user regardless of their level of radiation expertise.  It's ruggedness and IP67 environmental rating make it the ideal choice for detecting and monitoring radiation in virtually any conditions by persons who may be exposed to gamma and/or X-ray radiation.

The RDS-30 provides sequential alarms for fixed dose rate values (programmable by CSW configuration software via IrDA link) and the ability to store dose rate events into the histogram memory of the meter. The use of a CSW software is provided for the easy download of this data to a PC via IrDA port.

It is microprocessor controlled with the user interface consisting of a single push button and an easy to understand and user friendly menu structure that displays information in the LCD of the meter. The six-digit display shows the dose rate and various messages. Different alarm situations are indicated by a combination of audio-visual effects in the LCD and a buzzer (dose rate 1, dose rate 2, low battery, defect, dose rate overflow).

.
