TOOLS FOR HEALTH PHYSICS
Below is a brief description of several
tools for Health Physics. Please call for more information on any
software products
RADCALC
RADCALC is not just a health physics tool—it’s an entire
HP TOOL BOX, designed to make your job easier and your project calculations
quick, reliable, and painless!
“RadCalc was born out of a health physicist's desire to have a single,
centralized program to perform all these functions in a user-friendly format.
These are the functions I need to use every day, in one package. RadCalc is
specifically designed as a simple-to-install-and use, efficient program. It
requires little space and automates many calculations which were previously
labor-intensive. It has a learning curve of about 30 seconds!”
RadCalc™ Version 1.1
- is a utility program designed to performs health physics calculations
- contains a searchable database of radioactive isotopes and associated
emissions
- performs unit conversions for both radiological and non-radiological
units
NMPRS-Nuclear Medicine
Patient Release Software
NMPRS is a winner! Effortless, efficient, and an unbeatable development in
maintaining compliance with the new patient release criteria, it’s an
outstanding assist for practitioners of nuclear medicine. It performs required
calculations, generates patient instruction sheets, and creates file
documentation—all based on the new Reg. Guide 8.39 guidelines—automatically!
The NMPRS Patient release calculator is quick and easy to use—just enter
patient’s name (or other ID); drop-down menus lead you through the simple
patient-specific questionnaire. Select release criteria based on administered
activity, retained activity, measured dose rate or, patient-specific dose
calculations - See PDF Files for :

ReSource™Radioactive
Sources Inventory and Tracking System
Download a Demo Version-If
you like it, call to place your order and receive the full version and a
protected password
Know in an instant where any of your radioactive sources are, the total
activity currently in your possession, when each was last inventoried, who
is responsible for each one, who manufactured them, when each was last
leak-tested, and where each is supposed to be...
re:SOURCE has the flexibility of customized software, incorporating
features not usually available in "off-the-shelf" applications:
- specify a company logo to include on printed reports for a
professional look
- track up to 6 used-specified license categories
- extensive built-in reports act as a repository for both individual
sources and aggregate reports, allowing you to specify which data elements
you want to include
- export information into other applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
- customize settings of interest to you: inventory period, advance
tickler period, release threshold, etc.
Of course, re:SOURCE also performs the standard/basic inventory and
tracking functions you expect:
- track inventory and leak test requirements of sources at multiple
locations
- generate reminders for due and overdue inventory/leak tests
- track manufacturer and owner information
- calculate radioisotope decay -- each time the application runs, or
more often, if you like
- indicate "okay-to-release" dates for sources decaying in storage
- determine which sources are due for inventory or leak test, as far in
advance as you wish
- utlize a checklist apporach to inventory/leak testing, to allow batch
updates
- split sources and track lineage
re:SOURCE is easy to use, comprehensive and self-contained. It's the
ONLY inventory control software you need!
