RADOS™ SOFTWARE
Below is a brief description of the
RADOS Software. Please call for more information on any software products
RADOS™ Software
DoseControl
Software
DoseControl will control and
monitor system functions and provide real time access control and dose
management functions, either alone or communication with a host computer. RADOS
DoseControl software is the most sophisticated available for this operation,
running in the user friendly and versatile PC environment under either Windows
or MS DOS. Modern, powerful tools, such as Microsoft Access and Novell Netware
are used to secure fast and easy operation. It is able to communicate in real
time with virtually any mainframe or minicomputer running other Health Physics
management programs.
Features
 |
Personnel records
including dose history and controls, work history and authorizations, medical,
training and security records. |
 |
Work task records
including dose and dose rate history and distribution, level of effort and
personnel controls and authorizations. |
 |
Dosimeter records
including calibration and maintenance requirements. |
 |
Transaction records
including all user and work information. |
Advantages
 |
It provides a simple
interface with any host computer, reducing development cost. |
 |
It assures access to
all dosimeter data and includes the revolutionary possibility to reprogram
dosimeters when new functions are required. |
 |
It provides an
additional level of data integrity as all active information is maintained in
two computers instead of just the host providing a buffer against loss of
communication whether intentional or accidental. |
ADR-1/50-60 Configuration
Software
The ADR-1 Configuration Kit:
- Includes an ADR-1 Reader and Configuration Software and Manual
- Connects to any PC with a serial port using Windows 95™ or greater
- Allows the User to Change Dosimeter Settings
- Allows the User to Perform Calibration (with applicable source)
Example Configuration Window

PCR-1/100 Configuration Software
Configure the settings and
alarm set points on all of the RADOS Dosimeters both DIS and Alarming
Dosimeters. Much like the ADR-1/60 but more robust and includes many more
features such as the ability to Retrieve Histogram Information from the RAD-51
function as well as to set and control multiple alarm points on the RAD-51
TransDose 51 Software
The RADOS TransDose 51 software is what allows the system to operate to its full
potential. It runs under Microsoft Windows® enabling even the most inexperienced
user to provide real time dose control with peak efficiency.
The program communicates with the dosimeters and provides the user with real
time information regarding radiological conditions as well as information about
the physical state of the dosimeters. Dose and Dose Rate alarms will appear on
the screen when exposure levels have exceeded the preset limits. TransDose 51
will also alarm when a dosimeter has lost contact with the system or a low
battery is detected.
With the "Instant Log-on" feature, dosimeters automatically appear on the
TransDose 51 Data screen when they are within the range of a Repeater Unit.
This means no confusion in the field; if a worker has been assigned a RAD-51T,
and logs in at the access control reader, TransDose 51 will monitor that
individual continuously while in range of the system.
