RDS-80

The RDS-80 Surface Contamination Meter is a rugged, versatile contamination instrument designed for a wide range of radiation detection applications. It is suitable for use in the nuclear industry, emergency response, interdiction operations or any environment where the possibility exists for abnormal contamination levels to be present. The unit combines contamination detection measurement with alarm functions and automatic conversion to activity values. Additionally, there is a surface contamination measurement histogram stored in the meter’s internal memory (external accessories required for downloading the data into a PC via IrDA port).

RDS-110

The RDS-110 is a robust and rugged survey meter that is ideally suited for harsh applications such as Military, Fire and Emergency Responders and Civil Engineering environments. With the built in GM detector, the RDS-110 offers a wide range measurement capability. Simple to use, with LED indication of the range and a large easy to read LCD display with back-light, it does not require any set-up before use, as it performs it’s own self diagnostic test.

RDS-200

The RDS-200 is designed for use where accurate dose rate measurements at low dose rate levels is of importance. The instant dose rate display of the instrument continuously calculates the rolling average of the last five (user selectable) minutes dose rate value which at any time can be displayed by pressing a button. The average values will also be stored into the internal memory (up to 864 values) and can be downloaded from the RDS-200 to a PC via serial line. The data transmission protocol with telephone modem or ethernet connection allows the use of RDS-200 as a detector in an area monitoring system. The protocol is compatible with the RADOS AAM-system software. Optionally a range of GM Tube-based external probes is available for gamma and beta contamination measurement. These probes simply plug into the base of the unit and the RDS-200 automatically sets up the instrument for the relevant measuring range and unit.

RAM R-200

The RAM-R-200 is a portable gamma meter designed for measuring wide range gamma radiation fields.  Measurements are received by two internal energy compensated GM tubes and external probes: For beta  gamma contamination (RG-10, RG-12), for high gamma fields (RG-40), and for Alpha contamination (PA-100M). The RAM R-200 can be used with a four-segment sturdy telescopic rod for the external gamma probe. The RAM R-200 meter and its external detectors include embedded microprocessors, data memory, and data communication. An audible indication is activated either by frequency fluctuations in accordance with the field strength or chirp for each measured pulse. The RAM R-200’s auto-ranging meter utilizes a combination display consisting of a smoothed digital readout for minimum fluctuations, and a two-decade analog bar graph for fast response.

The Inspector

The Inspector is a small, handheld microprocessor-based instrument which offers excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays. The digital readout is displayed with a red count light and a beeper sounds with each count detected. Other features include an adjustable timer and external calibration controls.

Inspector EXP

The Inspector EXP was designed for the requirements of emergency response personnel. It has the same valuable features, small size, and quality of the Inspector, but instead of the built-in detector, it has the added versatility of an external probe.

Abacus

The Abacus is a handheld, digital radiation detection device that enables you to complete your surveys automatically with your Abacus and a Windows Mobile™, Palm™ Pilot or Windows™ Computer. Not only does it offer excellent sensitivity to low levels of alpha, gamma, and x-rays, but the internal "guard" detector automatically performs gamma subtraction from the "pancake" detector for unprecedented beta sensitivity. The software can display a variety of units for a wide array of applications, take timed counts, control the audio of each tube, and save your surveys for easy analysis and sharing, all wirelessly with Bluetooth® right to your computer! The Abacus also has a red count light, a beeper sound and selectable alarm thresholds for quick assessments.

Monitor 4 & 4EC

The MONITOR 4 and MONITOR 4EC are compact, general purpose survey meters capable of detecting alpha, beta, gamma, and x-rays over 3 selectable ranges. A red count light flashes and a beep sounds with each event detected. The Monitor 4EC offers a more accurate linear reading for gamma and x-rays (above 40 keV).

RAP Probes

AP47, RAP200, and RAP640 Scintillation Probes

The CsI (Tl) crystal used in Radiation Alert® Probes has a higher atomic number, is more rugged, and less hygroscopic than a typical Nal detector. The improved gamma ray absorption allows a thinner crystal to be used, effectively reducing the background count rate. (For use with Gateman only).

RAP47: Optimized for high sensitivity to low energy gamma radiation. It is ideal for the 47 keV, the typical energy of lead 210 and 35 keV, the typical energy of Iodine-125.

RAP200: Optimized for 185 keV, the ypical energy of U-235.

NEW RAP640: Optimized for high energy gamma.

Observer Software

The Observer Software runs on a Windows platform and can be used with the Inspector, Digilert 50 and Geiger Radiation Monitors. As an option, any of our Radiation Alert® instruments can be modified to interface with the Observer.
The Observer reads in Counts, CPM, and CPS and has the ability to collect, log, and perform statistical analysis on the data received. The data is displayed on a graph as well as digital and analog on-screen meters and can be saved or printed in various ways including a spreadsheet format. The dwell/count time can be adjusted for each point on the graph. You can also set the time you would like to count for. The on-screen meters in the software have adjustable settings as well as a settable alarm in CPM. There are both visual and audio indicators, and you can play the meter click through your PC speakers.
