Dosimeter and Personal Radiation Protection Devices

RADView™ Nuclear Radiation (NR) Indicators-Dosimeters are accident dosimeters designed for civilian use to provide visual indication of external exposures to gamma or beta radiation. The badge has been improved to include three levels of indications. The indicator is intended for use in the early phase of a radiation emergency where decisions on protective actions or the need for medical treatment need to be made rapidly. They are not a substitute for quantitative instrumentation used for radiation measurement.

RADView NR radiation badge dosimeter provide an "over-or-under" estimation of exposure in milliSieverts (mSv) at levels of 350 mSv (35 REM) and 2000 mSv (roo REM). The indicator will not respond to neutron or alpha radiation, including the radiation that is emitted by environmental radon. The RADView™ dosimetry process employs a self developing radiation sensitive film that is calibrated for radiation use. Please note that tht RADView™ NR Indicators are not be used as an occupational radiation exposure dosimeter.
