SITE-WISE IMPLEMENTED IN
SIOUX FALLS
May 2, 2003
PRESS RELEASE
The MJW Site-WiseŽ System has been
successfully launched in the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a FEMA
Project Impact City.
The Sioux Falls Project Impact
Committee (SFPIC) has been instrumental in the effort to implement
this system. The SFPIC group has taken a proactive approach to meeting
the needs of first responders by adding MJW's Site-Wise System to
their arsenal of tools. Site-Wise allows authorized users, including
first responders, to view pictures, maps and other relevant data of a
desired site in a secure manner, from any location. Site-Wise is built
on MJW's state-of-the-art IVTS technology (Patents pending).
Under the direction of the City of Sioux Falls Fire Department,
Site-Wise is being used to catalog 50 buildings in the Sioux Falls
area, with system expansion as it becomes necessary. The initial focus
is on the Sioux Falls City Schools District.
MJW has added the following enhancements to Site-Wise version 4.1 to
meets the needs of SFPIC:
Enhanced User Security - Previously all tours, maps,
photos, and components were visible to all users of the programs. Now,
the Site-Wise Security Manager creates and manages users, security
areas, levels, and groups. Security Manager also controls editing
permissions. Access to IVTS objects is only allowed if granted by the
Security Manager.
New Ability To Handle Multiple Sites - Security
Manager also allows for the creation and management of multiple sites.
Each site is stored in a separate database. Each user may be granted
access to one or more sites. Once the user signs in and selects a
site, he or she will automatically be connected to the proper database
based on information maintained by Security Manager.
Program Install Streamlined - Separate installs for
the IVTS Viewer and IVTS Editor were combined into a single Installer
program. This program now installs IVTS Editor, IVTS Viewer, Site-Wise
Security Manager, Sample High School Access Database, Microsoft Help
Viewer, and the Web Server application.
