D-tect Systems offers a rugged, field-ready line of equipment designed for accurate radiation detection and identification as well as chemical analysis. D-tect Systems’ products are used widely by first responders to combat the urgent threat of substances such as “dirty bomb” materials, nuclear device components, and toxic industrial chemicals. Our mission is to provide homeland security and other agencies with the most powerful, affordable, and deployable security products available.
The D-tect radiation detectors, radiation identifiers, and chemical identification equipment are exceptionally sensitive and offer quick response times. D-tect Systems devices have been engineered and extensively tested for use in toxic environments by first responders. Intuitive design and large, bright displays ensure security personnel to make accurate split-second decisions.
All D-Tect radiation detection instruments and devices now boast a full 2 year manufacturers warranty!
Personal Radiation Detectors
Excerpt - The Mini Rad-D is a rugged, all-weather radiation detector that’s small enough to wear on a belt yet powerful enough to quickly locate low- level radioactive sources. Even among crowds of thousands of people or warehouses with thousands of packages. Designed to discreetly monitor any environment without intrusion or disruption of civilian activities, the Mini Rad-D can be set to notify the user by vibration or audible alarm whenever radiation exceeds natural background levels. The Mini Rad-D is as easy to use as a flashlight. And requires just about as much training. It has a single switch that puts it into audible alarm mode, vibrate alarm mode, or turns it off.More Information
Excerpt - The Mini Rad-DX offers the exclusive SensorNet mesh network as well as the ability to be monitored system wide via WIFI to a central location, emailing or texting alerts to critical personnel. The Mini Rad-DX has ability to display dose rates in mR/Hr or Sv/Hr units. There is also the option for the Mini Rad-DX to display in the familiar 1-9 intensity level. Several gigabytes of data and events can be stored before the memory rolls over. The data is downloaded completely or administrators can choose significant events, i.e. where the PRD actually received a ‘hit.’More Information
Portal and Area Monitors
Excerpt - The Rad-D is a fixed-position radiation detector that is used to monitor doorways, driveways, or loading docks. It can inspect packages or luggage on conveyor belts; and it can be integrated with an X-ray machine or a metal detector to increase the kinds of dangers detected. The Rad-D can also be easily connected to an existing security system – to add radiation to the other types of alarms. The Rad-D is small. It can be attached to walls, light poles, convey-or belts, or X-ray machines. And because it is small, it doesn’t affect the how of vehicles or pedestrians under inspection. Other, similar devices need large, fixed areas and concrete footings to mount their systems and require traffic (vehicles or people) to be forced through a fixed inspection corridor. A Rad-D system can include up to four detectors – operating simultaneously, each up to 150’ away from the display electronics. The Rad-D is designed to integrate into existing security networks, using either a serial communications link or a Bluetooth wireless link that can communicate with a PC up to 300 feet away. With four detectors, an operator can monitor four different doorways (or driveways, or conveyor belts, etc.) anywhere in your facility. When the Rad-D alarms, it can trigger active responses such as blockades or halting conveyor belt.More Information
Excerpt - The exclusive Rad-D PRM Mounting System makes installation of the rad-D very simple and straight forward. The PRM gives the detecting unit full directional adjustment capability. It can be mounted permanently to most surfaces or with our extremely robust magnet configuration, the unit can be affixed to any metal surface and then be transported to other locations for added flexibility. The PRM is the ideal solution for X-ray machines and package scanningMore Information
Excerpt - The Rad-DX is a wireless mesh networked radiation detector with a sensitive scintillation detector which allows it to detect discreet sources of radiation in less than one second. Dual versions are available; with and without display. External audible and visual alarms are available for high noise and/or industrial applications. We also offer the Rad-DX SafeGuard model for harsh outdoor environments.More Information
Excerpt - The Rad-DX SafeGuard is a state-of-the-art radiation area monitor that provides real-time detection, data collection, and location of radiation threats across any area. It is based on the Rad-DX wireless radiation area monitor. The SafeGuard is a mesh networked radiation detector with a sensitive scintillation detector which allows it to detect discreet sources of radiation in less than one second. SafeGuard incorporates the exclusive D-tect SensorNet mesh network, an automatic communication network that allows users to monitor a full network of Rad-DX SafeGuard devices.More Information
Vehicle Mounted Detector
Excerpt - Recognizing elevated radiation levels and detecting radioactive materials has never been easier. The ultra-sensitive Mini Rad-V vehicle-mounted radiation detector takes the proven performance and reliability of the Mini Rad-D and Rad-D technology to new levels for first responders and those concerned with discovering unwanted radioactive materials. The next generation Mini Rad-V G2 vehicle mounted radiation detector takes the proven performance and reliability of the Mini Rad-D technology to new levels for all responders concerned with discovering unwanted radioactive materials and elevated radiation levels.More Information
