Inspection of bags and parcels has to be effective, efficient, and meet the toughest regulatory requirements. Each day, millions of bags and parcels across the globe are inspected at airports, borders, post offices, events and government buildings. These systems need to be versatile and to adapt to different screening scenarios. They must also provide the best performance and functionality to identify explosives, narcotics and contraband.
People screening is the practice of searching people before allowing access to a secure area. People screening has become so commonplace it is now enforced not only at airports, government and corrections facilities but also at stadiums, movie theaters, cruise ships, hospitals and elsewhere. Screening electronic products are used to detect concealed weapons, explosives or other contraband without requiring physical contact between the security screener and the person being screened. Until recently, metal detectors were the only electronic products commonly used for people screening. However, advanced imaging technologies are also available for people screening, using either millimeter waves or x-rays.

Rapiscan METOR M Series Remote Control
Excerpt - Metor WTMDs can be equipped with a wireless bi-directional remote control unit as an alternative means of programming to the keyboard on the display unit. Bi-directional operation enables loading parameters from one Metor and sending the same parameters to other Metors. This makes the programming of multiple Metor units easy. The remote control operation is also secured with code hopping algorithm. Parameter adjustments are access code protected.
